Job Description
The Human Resource (HR) & Safety Coordinator is responsible for the recruiting, onboarding and administrating of all frontline staff as well as overseeing the franchise safety program. The HR & Safety Coordinator ensures the franchise is consistently operating in compliance with the franchise agreement, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK system standards, and applicable laws and regulations. The HR &Safety Coordinator should have general knowledge of functional support areas, including our core business, human resources, training and risk management.
Job Responsibilities

  • Understand and practice the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK mission statement and core values

  • Identify opportunities for continual improvement of key areas of the business by auditing location hiring practices, training practices and employment documentation

  • Organize and manage all recruiting efforts; Particpiate in development of annual recruiting and retention plan and budget

  • Administer staffing efforts, conduct interviews, new hire processing, and coordination of new employee orientation

  • Monitor the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) on a daily basis

  • Responsible for scheduling training of all new employees and recurring training for existing employees

  • Maintain current employee records in appropriate software systems

  • Administer employee benefits programs

  • Responsible for employee safety and risk management program

    • Conduct new hire safety orientation, including the following:

      • Company safety program including policies and procedures

      • Accident, incident, and hazard reporting procedures

      • Reporting procedures for unsafe working conditions


    • Execution of monthly safety calendar tasks

    • Enforcement of all safety rules and policies

    • Ensure all employees are using safe tools, equipment, and moving techniques

    • Conduct accident/incident investigation and determine root case; Develop and implement corrective action plans in a timely manner

    • Promote a safe working environment and culture by finding and controlling unsafe working conditions, practices and procedures


  • Assist general manager with audit procedures and safety inspections

  • Responsible for documentation of employee accountability and adherence to franchise and system standards and policies

  • Maintain legal documents of the company and employees concerning federal, state, and municipality compliance

  • Ensures and recommends the appropriate training and development programs for staff offered through TWO MEN AND A TRUCK

  • Drives communication upward through reporting of functional areas for executive review

  • Develop and maintain professional and technical knowledge by establishing and maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, and utilizing STICK MEN UNIVERSITY to further the knowledge of the system

  • Other duties as assigned by general manager


Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required

  • A minimum of 2 years of human resources experience is required. Bachelors degree is preferred

  • PHR and/or OSHA certification is preferred

  • TWO MEN AND A TRUCK or moving industry experience is preferred

  • Excellent oral and written comprehension and communication skills

  • Knowledge of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK system policies, procedures, and industry

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example to motivate, develop, and direct people

  • Ability to assess the performance of self, employees, and franchise to make improvements or take corrective action

  • Strong decision making ability

  • Must be able to be insured under the franchise auto insurance plan

  • Understanding of and commitment to a high level of customer service and the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK core values

  • Must be proficient with the following Microsoft applications:

    • Excel

    • Word

    • Outlook



Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
