Water Restoration Technician

SERVPRO of East Lansing/Haslett has immediate openings for Water/Fire Restoration Technicians at our Lansing office. Our current areas of service are Lansing, East Lansing, Okemos, Haslett, Williamston and Webberville.
Job duties includes water extraction, setting drying equipment, some demolition, post-fire cleaning (contents and structure), mold remediation, carpet and upholstery cleaning, some light home repair work. Normal business hours are 8 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday, must be able to work after hours and weekends when necessary.
Requirements:
- Dependable, hard working, good communication skills, honest, and detail oriented
- Ability to learn new skills, problem solve, and apply training knowledge
- Willing to work after normal business hours as needed (time-and-a-half / bonuses are applicable)
- On call rotation required
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds
- Must have a clean driving record, pass drug test, and criminal background check
- Restoration/construction general knowledge or carpentry experience preferred (not required)
- IICRC Certification preferred (not required)
Compensation/
Benefits:
- Hourly wages, time-and-a-half, and bonuses for after hours/on call work
- Starting pay negotiable, raises considered after 30 and 120 days

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
