Gerdau is currently seeking a Bilingual (English and Spanish) Inside Sales and Service Representative for its Jackson, MI facility.
Position Overview
The Bilingual Inside Sales Representative is tasked with successfully performing inside sales of all mill products to selected accounts. Responsibilities will include maintenance of new and existing customers for a specific product in a specified geographical territory.
Responsibilities:
The Bilingual Inside Sales and Service Representative is responsible for selling Gerdau Mill products to selected accounts within a specific geographical region. This role is closest to the customer and is responsible for building new relationships as well as sales activities pertaining to sales order receipt, product delivery, product pricing, invoice claims, credit memorandums and customer problem resolution in their assigned territory. This position is also responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with existing and potential customers, resolving or assisting in resolving customer complaints. The Inside Sales Representative works closely with other Sales Service Representatives and Outside Sales to ensure that orders are being handled timely and properly. This includes periodically going on customer calls with various sales personnel to enhance customer relations. The incumbent will also ensure inventory levels are adequate, order levels are maintained properly in both the stock and rollings, and shipment activity is on time aligned with customer requirements. The incumbent must be able to perform all aspects of the job with minimum supervision.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Required
2
years proven experience in a sales role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual (Written and Verbal) in English and Spanish
Intermediate skills/experience with MS Office (MS Word and Excel)
Steel industry sales preferred
Experience AS400 a plus
