Summary:
This position has responsibility for analyzing business requirements and writing software in a PowerBuilder and Oracle environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
Review business requirements and use this information to design, code, and document technical solutions.
Write code for enhancing existing programs and develop new programs.
Write detailed technical specifications for newly developed solutions.
Consult with business analysts and end users to identify current functionality, desired changes, and clarify objectives.
Perform unit and system testing and document technical proofs.
Troubleshoot production software issues, to determine root causes.
EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in
computer
science or related field.
Combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
Six years relevant experience as an application developer with PowerBuilder.
Experience in a client-facing environment and working on project teams that include business analysts and clients.
Experience working in an Oracle environment, including writing procedures and functions in PL/SQL.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:
Senior-level expertise in PowerBuilder and object-oriented concepts.
At least six years of PowerBuilder (11.5 or later preferred) software development experience.
Experience in complex application development in a RDBMS environment.
Recent programming experience writing functions and procedures in Oracle PL/SQL.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot client/server problems.
Knowledge of UNIX/Linux commands and tools, and shell programming a strong plus.
Experience writing COBOL a plus.
Experience writing Crystal Reports a plus.
Ability to apply the principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to comprehend the consequences of various problem situations and to make sound decisions or to refer problems to appropriate people for decision making.
Ability to establish work flows, manages multiple projects, and meets necessary deadlines.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
