POSITION DUTIES:
This position serves as the department's recognized resource on social media and the main digital content producer and editor for social media platforms.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, this position is located within the Executive Office and will work within a team of content generators.
This Digital Specialist is responsible for creating digital and social media content, including graphics, images and videos; executing social media strategy and maintaining a digital planning calendar.
This position owns the department's social media Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn engagement with customers and constituents.
The position will also assist with editing and curation of digital content for distribution on the department's other digital platforms, including newsletter communications through GovDelivery, video messages on monitors in branch offices, and updates of the department's location pages on Google, Bing and other sites.
Additionally, the Digital Specialist will assist in ad campaigns and marketing efforts on a variety of platforms.
The candidate we hire will have a customer service mindset and a professional and nonpartisan approach to communications on behalf of the department and the Secretary of State.
