Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree - completion within the next twelve months or equivalent work experience Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a team member Demonstrated ability to manage department work flow with an emphasis on customer service and timeliness, required Experience and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word, required Strong analytical, research, and mathematical aptitude Excellent organization skills Dependable and able to handle confidential information with discretion Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Provides financial record keeping in accordance with district, state and federal policies and requirements Prepare periodic and annual special financial reports as required Prepare and assist with accounting functions Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant monitoring and general ledger functions Matches and reconciles receiving information and purchase orders to vendor invoices and prepared documents for processing Processes weekly computer-printed accounts payable check runs and distributes payments to vendors Verifies financial information for accuracy Processes and enacts bank transactions Assists in the preparation of audit processes Provide exceptional support to staff and external individuals Prepare journal entries Other duties as assigned The Lansing School District accepts on-line applications only.
