Case Management is the collaborative process of assessing, planning, coordinating care, evaluating and advocating for the options and services that best meet the offender's needs.
Case management will use the COMS system to create plans and document offender progress.
This position will provide have the sole responsibility for conducting CASE MANAGER assessment quality assurance reviews CFA Corrections Offender Management Systems (COMS), including Case Manager assignments and updates, prisoner movements, Parole Eligibility Report due lists, and COMPAS due lists.
This position will review and evaluate data entries across the Southern Region Correctional Facilities and analyze the data to assure consistency and compliance with Departmental Policy on the Case Management of offenders.
This position will audit caseload assignments and identify areas needed for correction.
This position will audit the COMS Case Management Supervision status and Work Unit updates for all Southern Region Correctional Facilities.
This information will be shared with designated staff and departmental leadership.
During the quality assurance review, this position will ensure that key areas within the Case Management processes are accuratelyanswered and completed, as they have the greatest impact on proper case management, housing level assignments, and parole decisions, This position will collaborate with Training staff to ensure COMPAS, Case Plan, and other training are made available to Correctional Facilities Administration staff that directly address the findings that result from qualityassurance reviews.
This position shall actively collaborate with all MDOC Case Management stakeholders as part of the department's Case Management work team to ensure continuity of the effective utilization of Case Management.

New hires to the MDOC along with previous MDOC employees that are returning after being away from the department for more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) either 40 hours or 80 hours of initial in-person training based on their level of offender contact and job classification.
All new employees will complete additional online training to successfully complete their non-custody new employee training.

Vacation and Sick Leave:
Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used.

Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
