Business Analyst

This opportunity is primarily work from home, but should be based within driving distance of our Lansing, MI office for in-office attendance when needed.
Job Summary Under general supervision, this position is responsible for assisting and providing firm-wide support for Deltek Vantagepoint (ERP) software, Power BI, SharePoint, document management, and other reporting tools/resources within the firm.
Additional responsibilities include supporting efforts with the development and ongoing maintenance of systems and processes to facilitate the organization.
The Business Analyst will assist in storing and retrieving data pertaining to HMA proposals, work products, and contracts.
Work Performed
Presents queries and reports to individuals, small groups and full staff
Prepares documentation for training
Trains colleagues on current and new data systems
Identifies information needs and areas for improvement
Helps identify areas for improvement in data maintenance and management
Performs data analysis to find trends and anomalies
Maintains data integrity in current systems (Deltek Vantagepoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Azure, and Power BI)
Assists with identifying, reviewing and implementing new systems
Maintains and utilizes the ticketing system (Freshservice) for data related requests
Works with various teams within the organization to keep data consistent and useful
All other duties as assigned.
Education/Training Minimum of a bachelors degree in business information systems, information systems, information technology or related discipline is required.
Experience Minimum of 2-5 years of related experience is required.
Advanced skills in data analysis, technical expertise in Power BI and SQL are a plus.

Working Conditions Work is sedentary in nature and performed in an office environment.
Minimal travel required.
Work may be stressful at times.
Physical/Mental Demands Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, climbing, and bending to files and supplies; mobility to complete errands; stand/sit for up to eight hours each day; ability to communicate clearly when using the telephone; requires sitting; standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and twisting at times; moderate levels of stress.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds periodically.
