Materials Analyst

Lansing, MI Lansing, MI Full-time Full-time Materials Analyst We are looking for a Materials Analyst who will report to the Inventory Accuracy Team Lead, and who'll be tasked with helping drive management of inventory control and accuracy to ensure we meet production demands.
As part of your role, you'll be significantly contributing to the organization's growth strategy.
You'll work cross functionally to develop and maintain necessary processes to control inventory movements and tracking.

Monitor inventory and production reports for reporting accuracy.
Be proactive and results driven in designing improvement plans as inaccuracies arise.
Carry-out routine inventory control audits and support inventory checks to validate accuracy across multiple warehouse locations.
Develop, maintain, and distribute measurement reports to include status of on hand inventory, days on hand, safety stock levels and excess/obsolete dispositions.
Report metric progress through root cause analysis, identify solutions and implement a plan of action.
Monitor and coordinate design change timing driven by engineering changes, deviations, and model year change overs to proactively mitigate obsolescence.
Conduct annual inventory of warehouse materials.
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required:
HS Diploma.

years of experience as a Materials Analyst/Analyst in a manufacturing environment Analytical focus with skills to support problem solving and decision making along with the ability to prioritize and organize workload.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or another technical discipline a plus.
Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management.
Attention to detail and ability to understand Bill of Material (BoM) hierarchical structure.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will collaborate and interact with all levels of management, across multiple functions and sites.
