org, one of Michigan's oldest non-profit organizations, represents nearly 2,000 water quality professionals statewide who are dedicated to preserving, restoring and enhancing Michigan's water resources.
We are actively seeking a new team member to join us as a Financial Assistant.
This part-time position will perform basic financial management and bookkeeping duties in QuickBooks including AP, AR, payroll (for 4 staff), and reporting.
This position is 16 hours per week with the team member setting their own hours and remote work schedule flexibility.
In-person office time is required, fully remote is not an option.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with great organizational skills and enjoys independent work.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, energetic and dependable.
Previous bookkeeping experience is required, as is proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Associates degree in accounting or the equivalent is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
