The Maintenance Technician's duties include:
repair or replace appliances, faucets, garbage disposals, minor electrical repairs and replacements, entry locks, windows as well as carpentry repairs.
Assisting with snow removal, grounds pick up as required.
As well as any additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Position Description We are looking for a full-time skillful Maintenance Technician with experience in Apartment/Multifamily Housing Maintenance.
The ideal candidate is someone looking to gain experience and build a career with our continuously growing Property Management company.
This position requires a general understanding of apartment systems/maintenance.
The position's duties and responsibilities include:
Maintain all buildings and apartment systems at a garden style multi-family site.
Perform various duties such as building repairs, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, painting, unit turnover, work orders, snow removal, or grounds keeping to provide residents with a clean and well maintained living environment.
Works with a sense of urgency to ensure all service requests are responded to in a timely manner.
Responsible for inventory management and overseeing the cleanliness and orderly manner of the maintenance shop.
Maintains and cares for equipment as may be necessary for its continuous operation.
Completes emergency repairs as may be required to prevent damage or deterioration.
Also tracks systems repairs, apartment painting (touch-up), refrigerator coil cleaning, and other major repairs.
Notes building deficiencies or needs to Supervisor in writing Necessary Qualifications / Skills This position will require after hours availability.
All maintenance techs have a rotating schedule of after hours on-call shifts for emergencies in the community.
It is strongly preferred that candidates have experience with Plumbing and Electrical maintenance.
HVAC Certification and/or EPA Certification is also strongly preferred.
Experience in specifically apartment and residential maintenance.
