Basic Function Responsible for cradle to grave support of Polypropylene compounded resins for applications in industries including electronic and electric, consumer, agricultural, and building industries. Key skills include:
problem solving, communication, supplier/raw material developments, organization ability, multitasking, and responsiveness. Candidate must have ability to relate fundamental polymer or mechanical concepts to resolve material related problems. Develop and support all technical activities related to creation and approval of PP Compounds for applications in areas including electronic and electric, consumer, agricultural, and building industries. Roles & Responsibilities Main Job accountabilities:
- Manage all activities involving existing PP Compounds and new product development (product design, scales-up, commercialization, quality plan, and product stewardship) Develop new PP Compounds for target applications in areas of interest Support commercialization of PP Compounds (quality, manufacturing, and OEM approvals) Manage specific set of raw materials, work with raw material suppliers to expand product capabilities, develop best practice technologies and communicate with technology team. Act as technical focal point at customer and OEM representing product and company Follow HSE and safety guidelines Address customer problems as related to materials Min.
Qualifications Education:
Minimum requirement is a Bachelor degree in areas including Polymers, Material science, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. MS or PhD degree is preferred.
Experience:
at least five years working experience with Polymers or Polymer Compound development and/or support preferably in the non-automotive markets with a solid understanding of market needs and product approval processes or Industry quality systems and procedures. Preferred Qualifications Required experience Understanding of polymer structure and property relationship Knowledge and experience in polymer blending and/or compounding processes Understanding of polymer and blend rheology and processing Understand of extrusion, injection molding, and thermoforming (vacuum forming) processes Knowledge and experience in polymer characterization methods and data interpretation Understanding of polymer additive Understanding of polymer reinforcements Understanding of polymer impact modifiers Good computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Data Analysis experience Competencies Builds effective teams Collaborates Cultivates innovation Customer focus Demonstrates courage Drives results Ensures accountability Instills trust and exemplifies integrity
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
